Full-length frame mocked up in the shop prior to finishing.
When a local architecture firm moved into their new office, they needed a conference table that matched the scale and intent of the space. The result was a 16-foot custom steel base engineered to support a substantial marble top and comfortably seat fourteen.
Because the installation location was tight and access was limited, the base was designed to break down flat for transport and be assembled on site. The frame consists of two main longitudinal sections and three pedestal leg assemblies that bolt together securely, creating a rigid, unified structure once installed.
Fabricated from steel and finished in a satin black industrial enamel, the base provides a clean, architectural presence without overpowering the stone above it. Strong, straightforward, and thoughtfully engineered—it does its job quietly, letting the materials and the room speak for themselves.
