This Fandango tandem mountain bike gets ridden and raced hard, and after years of exposure to sweat, mud, and water, the aluminum frame had developed severe corrosion and peeling paint. Rather than simply refinish it cosmetically, we performed a full strip-down to bare aluminum to properly prep the frame for long future.
The frame was stripped to bare metal, treated, and sealed with epoxy primer to prevent future corrosion. From there, we applied a durable basecoat/clearcoat automotive finish with custom graphics designed specifically for this build. The Fandango logos and rider names were created in-house using vinyl-cut stencils and painted beneath the clearcoat for a seamless, permanent finish. The St. Louis fleur-de-lis head tube graphic was provided by Onetime Supply Co. The result is a fully protected, race-ready tandem mountain bike built to be ridden hard again.
