Upcycled Cutting Board Side Table
The table top of this handmade side table once spent its days in a kitchen. This Goodwill find was a perfect fit for making a new life as a beautiful side table. A welded steel frame and expanded steel shelves add utility while the polished polyurethane finish brings out the beauty and personality in the hardwood top.

This custom industrial side table was designed around a butcher block cutting board we recycled from Goodwill.

The welded steel frame and expanded metal shelving give this little side table some real heft, and a real industrial furniture feel. Stainless steel button head allen bolts secure the shelves and add a nice bright touch to break up the rough steel look.

This industrial table is the perfect size for your morning cup of coffee and an iPad. The recycled cutting board has a few knife marks and stains that we hilighted with a rich wood stain.

The polyurethane finish on the recycled top is hand rubbed, sanded and polished to a near mirror shine, which really helps the character of the butcher block come out. It’s also a great protectant for real everyday use of this industrial side table.
