Industrial Style Table With Planter Box
This table was custom designed to provide an interesting and beautiful entryway barrier for the foyer area of a business. The table and the tall plants provide a physical barrier, but provide enough visibility to maintain an open feel. The welded steel table frame and iron casters are finished in an industrial blue and aged in all the likely spots for a table that has lived a hard life. The table top is rough douglas fir with a rich poly stain that highlights the saw mill marks in the wood.

This custom industrial table has functional steel casters and and galvanized handles, so while it’s heavy, it’s a breeze to move it around if you need to.

Coated Torx head screws add a nice industrial touch and also provide some structural support to the plant box.

Waterproof finish protects the douglas fir planks from moisture and helps the grain and saw-mill marks really pop. Some delicate hand-weathering gives the industrial style table a natural well-used feel.

The 5″ cast iron caster wheels add to the industrial feel of this table, and also make this piece very functional. This photo gives a pretty good view of the strategically positioned wear marks as well as some of the rust patina added to give the steel some age.
